Parents of abducted chibok girls accuse president of neglect

Indigenes of Chibok community were over 200 girls were abducted April last year have said President Goodluck Jonathan is not sincere in the search for the girls. The Chibok people through their spokesperson, Dr. Allen Mannaseh, said it was sad that the Federal Government had failed to bring their daughters home 277 days after they were abducted by Boko Haram terrorist. They said the president did not even say a word about the girls when he visited Maiduguri on Thursday. Dr. Mannaseh said he doubted if the Federal Government was still interested in rescuing the abducted schoolgirls, said it was unfortunate that the people of Borno State failed to understand the motive behind the President’s visit. He said, “As a Director of Information of the Chibok Community nationwide, I am short of words when people call to ask me why the President kept mute about the Chibok girls. “We are saddened as parents that the President did not say a word over the missing girls on Thursday. The President’s action confirms that the government has forgotten those girls in the enemy’s camp.”
