Drake Bell I'll Never Shred Again ... And Here's Why
Drake Bell's run-in with the bottom of a swimming pool is why his music career is now in jeopardy.
We now know why Drake came out this week and said doctors have given him the bad news ... he'll never play guitar again.
Drake was at his brother's house for a birthday party in November, horsing around in the pool when he dove in, not realizing the bottom was closer than he thought. Drake's wrist slammed into the concrete, shattering it.
Doctors performed surgery and rejiggered his wrist with plates and screws, and then put it in a cast.
The cast was removed last week and after eyeballing the results Drake's doctors told him he will never be able to play guitar again. Shredding is way too taxing for his limited mobility.
So Drake can still sing, but his act has always included a guitar, so now he's gotta hire someone and it may not be the same.
But Drake is still banking on a medical miracle, with the help of intensive physical therapy.

Two Bankers Remanded In Prison For Stealing LG Workers’ Salaries
An Akure Magistrate Court has remanded two bankers, Kasali Fajana and Ajayi Dauda, in prison custody for allegedly stealing the sum of N2.5 million meant for the salaries of workers in Akoko northwest local government area of Ondo State.
It was reported that Fajana and Dauda as well as others still at large are accused of committing the offence.
It was reported that Fajana and Dauda as well as others still at large are accused of committing the offence.
A police prosecutor, Pelumi Adejuwon, told the magistrate court that the stolen fund was meant for the payment of local government workers’ salaries. Mr. Adejuwon said the accused persons stole the money after using stones and other tools to break the windscreen of a vehicle where the money was loaded.
According to him, the alleged crime violated sections 6 (6) and 1 of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provision Act) Cap R 11 laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
The defense attorney to the accused persons, Oluwarotimi Daramola, urged the court to grant his clients bail on liberal terms, assuring the presiding magistrate that the accused would not jump bail.
The police prosecutor objected to the application for bail, pleading with the court to remand the accused persons in prison custody to enable the prosecution to forward the case file to the Ministry of Justice for further legal advice.
In his ruling, Magistrate Sunday Adeduro ordered that the two accused persons be remanded in prison custody.

I’ll make Rivers the Dubai of Africa – LP guber candidate Tonye Princewill
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Rivers, Tonye Princewill, has said that his administration would aim at making the state the Dubai of Africa if elected. Princewill stated this in Port Harcourt on Tuesday. He added that he would achieve the objective with adequate security in place and in a peaceful environment. “My administration will work with security agencies to ensure adequate security in the state. “We will create a ring of steel in the state to make it impossible for trouble makers to penetrate. “My focus is to make Rivers like the Dubai of Africa and if we should achieve this, we will need peace and security,’’ he said.
Princewill also said his administration would adopt the carrot and stick approach to tackle security issues among youths in the state. “The carrot option is that if you are not pursuing a life of violence, here is an alternative and if you are pursuing violence in spite of the alternative, here are the consequences,” he said. “Unless you have the capacity to produce jobs, you cannot address the issues of security, and unless you can address the issues of security, you will not be able to create jobs.” According to Princewill, the most important thing for any administration is to have the capacity to produce jobs and demonstrate the will to do so, adding that his administration would adopt a collaborative approach and do an interagency relationship to address security issues.

If You Cannot Lie, Do Not Go Into Politics- Aliyu Babangida Niger state governor
Governor of Niger state, Aliyu Babangida says that one has to tell lies to survive in the political scene of today, adding that there is no morality in politics. He says if anyone wants to pursue morality, they should go and become Imams or Pastors. The Governor stated this while inaugurating the PDP guber campaign committee in Minna the state capital yesterday January 5th.
"If you cannot lie, get out of politics. Anything you are involved in has its own rule. You are in politics to win, win first and let other things follow. Don’t be the one crying louder; lest you will be the one they will take to court. If you are talking of honesty or morals, go and become an Imam or pastor. Politics cannot be the way it used to be.
"The challenges are more now, the variables have changed, the issues that we are going to face in 2015 are different from the ones we faced in 1999 and we must bear this in mind. Our society is not as grateful as it used to be, the values and morals have gone down. If you want to win, use the modern morality. We have worked for the people. Politics is not about sadaka (giving alms), politics reminds people of what you have done. Go out and remind the people of what we have done.” he said
Shekau is a lunatic, his actions are beneath the act of an animal - Borno state Gov
Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima has described the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau as a Lunatic who does not deserve any respect. Gov Shettima said this while speaking to state house correspondence after an emergency security meeting between the North Eastern governors, security chiefs and President Jonathan at the state house earlier today
"Shekau is a lunatic. He is a deranged element. He is not somebody anybody should give any molecule of respect. His actions are beneath the act of even an animal, believe me. I’m an eternal optimist and I am passionate too for that matter, that we shall have enduring peace very soon with the very robust frame work on ground.
We don’t want to mention a date or anything but I believe our military is arising to the challenges of the time. Our military will robustly respond to the challenges, I believe. Like I said earlier, I’m an eternal optimist; we have to hope for the best against whatever odds" he saidThe governor said some areas in Borno state are partially in the control of Boko Haram but says he is optimistic that the state would surmount the challenges
"There are some local governments that are partially under the control of the insurgents and there are some that are largely under our control. I really don’t want to bolster Boko Haram by quoting numbers and figures because these lunatics feast on the oxygen of publicity. The more publicity they get, the happier they become. I don’t want to give them that luxury. But I want to assure you that with 1,000 years of recorded history, Borno shall rise again in spite of all the challenges, believe me Insha Allah.” he said
Naomi Campbell and Mike Tyson bathroom hook-up exposed
In the late 80's, every model, actress and high society chick wanted a piece of Mike Tyson...and it looks like super model Naomi Campbell was one of them. A new book written by the former heavy weight champion's best friend Rory Holloway exposed the night Mike Tyson met Naomi Campbell and hooked up with her in a night club bathroom…
The pair met at a Russell Simmons party and as Holloway tells it, hit it off immediately. “I was there to keep Mike out of trouble, doing my usual babysitting job, and when I looked over, he was talking to this girl,” Holloway writes.
“I had to rub my eyes. I mean, the most exciting thing at that time was Naomi Campbell. She was wild and vivacious, with these legs that went on for days.
“Minutes go by and it’s getting uncomfortable. I finally crack open the door, ‘C’mon Mike.’ I see Naomi. She’s up on the toilet, heels and long legs spread, skirt hiked up, and Mike’s pumping away.”
Holloway’s book features dozens of stories like these.
Mike Tyson and Rory Holloway were childhood friends until they fell out in the 90s.

Mexico charges mayor's wife over missing case
Maria de los Angeles Pineda is main suspect of being behind kidnappings of 43 students in Iguala that rocked country.
The wife of the ex-mayor of Iguala, the Mexican city where 43 college students went missing in September and are feared dead, has been jailed indefinitely on suspicions of masterminding the abductions that rocked the country, prosecutors have said.
Maria de los Angeles Pineda, who had been held under provisional arrest, has been transferred to a high security prison in the western state of Nayarit from the capital Mexico City.
On Monday, a judge issued a warrant for her pretrial detention "for her likely role in committing organised crime ... and operations with funds of illicit origin," said Tomas Zeron, who leads the criminal investigation unit of the prosecutor's office.
Pineda and her husband Jose Luis Abarca, Iguala's former mayor, have been named by prosecutors as the "probable masterminds" of the kidnappings allegedly carried out to prevent opposition demonstrations.
The students went missing September 26, in an apparent massacre by a police-backed gang that sparked nationwide protests and caused a crisis for President Enrique Pena Nieto.
Confessions made during the investigation have indicated that Abarca ordered police to crack down on the students to stop them from protesting at a public event his wife was to lead.
Authorities say the aspiring teachers vanished after gang-linked police attacked their buses in the city of Iguala, allegedly under orders from the mayor and his wife in a night of terror that left six other people dead.
The police then delivered the young men to members of the Guerreros Unidos drug gang, who told investigators they took them in two trucks to a landfill, killed them, burned their bodies and dumped them in a river.
For now, only one of the students has been positively identified from charred remains, which leaves little hope of finding the 42 others.
On Christmas Eve, the students' parents held a protest under heavy rain in front of the Los Pinos presidential palace.
