Benue state commissioner slumps, dies at 46

Benue State Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives, Mr. Aondowase Chia has died at the age of 46. According to reports, after presenting the annual budget of his ministry to the state Executive Council yesterday Tuesday March 3rd, he returned to his office where he slumped. He was immediately rushed to the Benue State Teaching Hospital Makurdi, Benue state by his aides. He died in the early hours of today.

Born October 27th 1968, Mr Chia was married with eight children.

Jim Iyke’s crew reacts to news of Nadia Buari’s twins

Earlier today, it was established that Nollywood actor Jim Iyke, ain’t the father of Nadia Buari’s twin babies, as a matter of fact, it was revealed the former lovers who got engaged last year, parted ways months back.

Well, we dug a little deeper and spoke to a few people in the know till we eventually got a source who was willing to divulge some information.

When asked why Jim Iyke is yet to react to the “good news” our source who is part of the crew working with Nollywood actor, for his next season of the unscripted reality show, said: “Jim Iyke is busy in Toronto shooting for his next season of unscripted reality show. He is too busy to have time to react to it, he is indifferent… he is right now excited about the shooting and nothing else.”

When asked if he had congratulated the new mum, our source said “The important thing is that he wishes her well, he cares about her, that they are no longer together doesn’t mean they don’t talk anymore.”

When further asked if Nadia Buari will feature in the next season of the reality show, we got the response…

“Right now, Nadia has got a bigger responsibility. This is a very important chapter in her life and that is what matters.”

Asked to tell us about Nadia Buari’s rumored fiancé, our source said,

“I am sorry, I cannot help with that. You should ask someone else please.”

Meanwhile Jim Iyke’s Instagram page is presently flooded with questions from fans asking for explanations and clarifications on Nadia’s twin girls. Some have even gone as far as passing congratulatory messages.

According to TMZ, the singer has fathered a 9 month old girl. And it is not sure if his long-suffering boo,Karrueche Tran is in on it.

“The baby’s mother is a 31-year-old former model named Nia — who we’re told has known Chris for several years,” TMZ said.

Sources connected to both Nia and Chris revealed that both baby parents are on very good terms — however they’re not together romantically. We’re told 25-year-old Chris is happy about being a father.

Obasanjo destroyed an expired card —PDP

   

ABUJA—NATIONAL Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Professor Adewale Oladipo, yesterday, said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo destroyed an expired party membership card and not the new and authentic card being issued by the party.

He spoke yesterday when he received a group of students mobilization team led by Comrade Takun Olarewaju visited the party to express their support for PDP and its Presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan.

Oladipo explained that the card which Obasanjo tore was an old one signed by former acting National Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje and not the authentic card which has the signatures of PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu and himself, Prof. Wale Oladipo as national secretary.

He spoke as the party boasted that it would shock the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the South West.

Addressing journalists yesterday in Abuja, PDP Deputy National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus said that with PDP campaigns and its pedigree, President Jonathan will win the March 28 presidential election.

“We have the statistics that shows since 1999 that we have been consistent so what we have done is to re engineer our support at our base and they are ready for elections and we will win this election,” he said.

Eddie Ray Routh Found Guilty of Murder in Killing of American Sniper's Chris Kyle

Chris Kyle's family will never have the ending that they wanted, but they do have justice tonight.

Eddie Ray Routh, the ex-Marine who fatally shot the Navy Seal and his friend Chad Littlefield at a shooting range in February 2013, was found guilty of murder Tuesday and immediately sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, NBC News reports. Prosecutors had not been seeking the death penalty.

The jury was out for less than three hours before returning with a verdict.

Kyle, who was credited with 160 kills in the line of duty while serving in Iraq, had been asked by Routh's mother to spend time with the troubled veteran, who had also served in Iraq and had been diagnosed with schizophrenia since leaving the Marine Corps. Routh had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, his attorneys arguing that he had been in the grip of psychosis when he killed Kyle and Littlefield at the Rough Creek Lodge and Resort's shooting range in Texas. He shot the other men with two different guns, both of which belonged to Kyle.

Speaking about her colleagues in the industry, she said, “I like the way Stephanie Okereke comports herself and how she delivers her lines. I also love Chika Ike for her politeness and humility. Another person that surprised me on set is Tonto Dikeh. I had always admired her acting style and was opportuned to work with her on the set of ‘Afri­can Bride’. She was meant to beat me up and she really gave me the beating of my life on set. And I was like ‘after all, I know who she is so I am not surprised because I was expecting the Devil himself’.
