Yoruba Nollywood actress, Allwell Ademola has spoken regarding the challenges she and her colleagues face in the industry. The Ogun state born Thespian who has been in the industry since 2008 and famous for her intriguing roles in Yoruba movies has said piracy is the bane of Nollywood. In a recent interview, she said, “there is hardly nothing we want to do that we don’t have to pay people for and pirates are killing us.”
The plus sized actress who is also the grand daughter of the first chief justice of Nigeria,Late (Chief) Adetokunbo Ademola and a great grand daughter of Alake II of Egbaland, added that nollywood celebrities are not as rich as many people may think. According to the single OAU graduate, “everyone wants to eat part of the cake because they assume we are millionaires”.
