Veteran actor Yemi Sodimu seizes pirated Nigerian movies from hawkers in Lagos traffic


Veteran yoruba Nollywood actor turned TV presenter, Yemi Sodimu is risking his life in a bid to sanitize Lagos of pirated copies of Nollywood movies. The actor took to popular Lagos roads to seize pirated copies of Kunle Afolayan’s “October 1″ and Ayo Makun’s “30 Days in Atlanta” from hawkers who sell them in traffic. Most of these hawkers are notoriously troublesome and would fight to keep their ‘goods’ from being seized unless you represent the law. So it’s uncertain if a few blows were exchanged but the actor took to his Facebook page to show the results of his deed. For two days, the actor claims to have forcefully retrieved the pirated copies from traffic hawkers and is encouraging his colleagues and fans to stop waiting for the government and do the same. He posted this on facebook, see his facebook post here:
